Meet our Registered Manager
I'm Derek Edwards, responsible for day to day management of the support services we offer and the company's Registered Manager. I look after the care team here at Clover and ensure we comply with all relevant regulations as a healthcare provider in the UK.
I was led to the care sector due to a sibling growing up with support needs, which resulted in me specialising in support for young adults with learning difficulties, particularly in dual sensory loss and challenging behaviour. I have first hand experience of living with those needing support coupled with 35+ years in the care sector, 13 of which have been as a Manager, and my commitment is that Clover treats each individual in a carefully planned, bespoke way.
Before joining Clover, I was driven to set up a young persons care service that still operates today (33 years in all). During that time I gained my Diploma in Business and Finance, along with various care related skills and qualifications including sign language (BSL). I am an active contributor at care forums across the South of England and was recently blessed to have a piece I wrote published by Skills for Care.
